IWMS SUPPORT FOR CUSTOMERS DURING NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWNS
It was only one month ago that daily life proceeded in a routine and predictable manner. In the last few weeks, the world as we know it has been completely upended. A great deal of uncertainty is taking over nations as the world responds to the COVID-19 outbreak with extraordinary measures and nationwide lockdowns. However, iWMS is committed to providing several certainties customers can trust during this time:
“As always in life, we do not choose our difficulties, but we do decide how we respond to these difficulties. At iWMS we always challenge ourselves to respond with compassion and commitment while making sure we communicate every step of the way “- Richard Evans (iWMS CEO)
1. iWMS Offices and Customers:
iWMS offices are situated on 4 different continents, in 4 different countries, that have been affected by different governmental enforced measures and policies, namely; South Africa, India, Australasia and the Americas. South Africa, India and Australasia (more specifically New Zealand) are currently in a state of nationwide lockdowns, and America has also responded with less severe, but necessary measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
“The severity of Covid-19 requires an exceptional response that draws on all the resources and capabilities of our nation. This response needs to be immediate and sustained.” – Cyril Ramaphosa (President of South Africa)
iWMS has been closely monitoring the situations in the different countries where iWMS offices are situated and regions where customers trade, ensuring iWMS is fully functional and available to provide best-in-class support and services to their customers during this time.
Countries being closely monitored include:
• South Africa
• Kenya
• Israel
• Turkey
• Fiji
• The United Kingdom
• The United States of America
• Australia
• New Zealand
“With alertness and safeguards, we all can help contain the outbreak of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus.” – Ram Nath Kovind (President of India)
2. Support and Services:
The top priority in all iWMS global offices is to continue to uphold the high standard of 24/7 service and support customers are used to. To achieve this, they have internally implemented the appropriate plans to equip all iWMS employees with the necessary resources to work from home, but also to ensure customers experience absolutely no supply chain interruptions and receive superior support. Thus far, iWMS can proudly say they have been successful, and will continue to search for innovative and effective ways to meet customer supply chain needs.
“Together, we will win this war. When we achieve this victory, we will emerge stronger and more united than ever.” – Donald J. Trump (President of the United States of America)
3. Prioritizing Essential Services:
Just as governments have emphasised the importance of the continuity of essential services, and the companies who provide them (companies involved in the production, distribution and supply of food, basic goods and medical/hygiene products), iWMS has recognised that prioritizing and completely supporting customers who operate in these industries is equally as important.
Considering this, iWMS has undertaken proactive measures to assist those who have been considered “essential services” and will continue to operate during the lockdown. These supply chain operations will be put to the test as the demand-and-supply pressures created by panic buying persists. To counteract these pressures, iWMS have developed a quick reaction team to ensure that customer systems are operating at maximum efficiency; to enable them to keep up with the growing consumer demands and to eliminate any disruptions in their critical supply chains.
4. IWMS Quick Reaction Team:
iWMS quick reaction team includes individuals from all around the world who are extremely dedicated and experienced in IT and technical support. They are well-trained on every customer’s specific system and the potential supply chain complexities that may occur. iWMS is committed to making their quick reaction team readily available, easily accessible, and well equipped to assist customers in keeping their supply chain operations running smoothly, especially during these challenging times.
iWMS hopes that through the implementation and execution of these plans, customers can continue to operate successfully and in some small way, contribute to the overall health of the different economies that are affected by promoting the continuity of employment and essential business operations. May we remember:
“We need to be courageous, to be patient and above all, show solidarity and compassion to one another. Let us never despair despite the challenges that our country is facing now, for we are a nation of one and we are surely going to prevail. May God protect our people.” – Cyril Ramaphosa (President of South Africa)
